All bookings, whether confirmed or still pending, are subject to BITP Terms and Conditions. By filling out a Booking Form, you agree to these terms, and your ongoing use of our services confirms your acceptance of the current terms in place.
BITP will only accept well-behaved and friendly dogs. We do not take reactive dogs.

Dogs must be neutered/spayed, fully vaccinated, and up to date on vaccinations. Ideally including kennel cough. Dogs must also be treated for worms, fleas, and ticks, microchipped, and insured.
​
A meet and greet and an overnight trial is a licence requirement, they are not a confirmation of a booking. If a meet and greet is successful and an overnight trial is successful, a deposit is paid by the owner to secure any dates required.
Client agrees that on booking services for their dog(s) that they have represented that the dog(s) to have not shown aggression or caused harm, or threatening behaviour to any individual and/or any pet(s), and the client agrees to contact the provider as soon as possible if any of these behavioural changes presents itself or if it has the potential to cause harm to any individual or pet(s).
If the client’s dog(s) shows aggressive tendencies towards the carer or their family, or should its behaviour become unacceptable or a nuisance beyond reasonable acceptance, the client agrees that the service is terminated with immediate effect and the pet is to be returned, collected by the owner or emergency contact. No refund will be given.

​BITP are unable to accept dogs with aggression problems towards other dogs or people and subject to the terms of the Dangerous Dogs Act 1991.
​
It is essential for owners to be transparent about their dog's behaviour and to inform us of any changes in behaviours, eating habits, medication, allergies, dangerous behaviours, or health issues. Failure to disclose such information will result in the care not taking place or the care ending. ​

BITP is committed to providing a professional, safe, and welcoming environment that feels like home for your furry friend. We also value the importance of fostering a positive relationship with pet owners. Please be aware that BITP has the right to cancel any booking if we observe that an owner is not following the terms and conditions of the services.
​
We cannot accommodate dogs that exhibit excessive barking, whether during walks at any time, at the television, towards the general public, or while in the garden, including barking at other dogs or wild life. Our environment is not suitable for dogs that are excessively vocal.
​
We do not take dogs that hump.
Dogs must be able to walk safely without excessive pulling on the lead, lunging, chasing, or fixating on wildlife such as birds and squirrels. Additionally, they should not lunge at cyclists, runners, or scooters. We cannot care for dogs that are unable to share space or walk alongside other dogs. ​Dogs must be sociable unless utilising the solo boarding service.
Dogs with long, sharp nails will not be accepted; nails must be kept trimmed.
We are unable to care for dogs that are experiencing serious health issues or are nearing the end of their lives, as we believe they should remain in the care of their owners. We can provide pet visits in MK at home in such cases.
We cannot accommodate dogs that engage in coprophagia.
Dogs with severe separation anxiety that adversely affects their mental health and well-being, those displaying unpredictable behaviour, biting tendencies, resource guarding or dogs that pace, unable to rest or sleep through the night, as well as dogs that howl, cry, or whine incessantly, will not be accepted.

Our primary focus is on small to small/medium-sized dogs, with the largest being a cockapoo.
We cannot care for dogs with extreme brachycephalic features.
​
Dogs that mark, urinate, or defecate indoors will not be accepted. BITP cannot accommodate dogs that are not kept clean or do not regularly visit a groomer.
We provide boarding for up to four dogs, and your dog must be able to share space. Solo care is offered for boarding of four consecutive nights or longer. For dogs that require additional time to adjust, there is the possibility of making three individual bookings. Following this, care will revert to a minimum of four consecutive nights in order to utilise BITP services.

Owners are required to provide an emergency contact, located within an hour of Milton Keynes. We will reach out to this emergency contact to ensure they are aware of their responsibilities. Owners are not permitted to designate themselves as the emergency contact. Owners can not select a contact who has a serious medical condition, such as dementia, is unable to drive, or is unavailable on the specified care dates.
We do not travel outside of Milton Keynes to visit a veterinarian. Therefore, it is essential that the owners dog is registered with a veterinarian located in Milton Keynes to use our services. We recommend Willows in Milton Keynes.
Bookings: Bark In the Park MK strives to adhere to the scheduled times for pet visits and walks; however, a flexibility of one hour on either side is necessary to accommodate any unforeseen circumstances. For instance, a pet visit scheduled for 12:00 PM may be rescheduled to either 11:00 AM or 1:00 PM. Additional adjustments may be made while dogs are under my supervision for day or night care. Considerations such as weather conditions may also lead to delays in walks or visits. An in-home consultation is mandatory for all new clients prior to making reservations. Furthermore, all bookings must be completed at least 24 hours in advance.

Cancellations: Should a client notify me of a cancellation 14 full days prior to the commencement of the booking period, all fees will be refunded by BITP, excluding any deposits made to secure the booking. For cancellations occurring between 14 days and 48 hours before the scheduled start date, a payment of 50% of the service fees will be required. Deposits are non-refundable. Cancellations made within 48 hours of the service will not be eligible for a refund, and deposits will not be refunded. d. In the event that Bark in The Park MK is unable to fulfill the agreed-upon service, every effort will be made to arrange an alternative, except in extreme circumstances, where notice will be provided as soon as possible.

Privacy Policy: Client information will be kept private and confidential. All records will be stored in compliance with the Data Protection Act 1998.

Insurance: Bark In the Park has valid public liability insurance with protectivity insurance, for the peace of mind of its clients. It is the client’s responsibility to ensure that the property, its contents and pets are adequately insured throughout the duration of care.
​
Pet visits: Bark In the Park MK disclaims any responsibility for individuals present in the pet owners residence before, during, or immediately following the provision of our services. Kindly inform BITP during the consultation of any individuals who may have access to your home while you are absent for any pet visits. This encompasses cleaning services, maintenance staff, friends, family members, and neighbors. It is acknowledged that the client will inform all individuals with access to the home that the services of Bark In the Park have been secured.

Inclement Weather: You will entrust Bark In the Park MK to use best judgment in caring for your pet at the time of inclement weather or extreme heat. BITP will try to carry out your instructions to the best of their ability. However, in cases of extreme weather, BITP will contact to make alternative arrangements.
Bark In the Park MK cannot care for sick or extremely unwell pets. Under no circumstances will Bark in the park MK care for any pet that has any form of active contagious illness. For Dog Walking/boarding I require a copy of a valid vaccination certificate. If Bark in the Park is bitten or exposed to any disease or ailment received from the client's pet(s) which has not been properly or currently vaccinated, the client will be responsible for all costs and damages.

Pet Waste: Bark In the Park MK will properly dispose of your pet(s) waste. For cat litter trays we do request that you provide all necessary items such as scooper, cat litter and plastic bags and indicate where you would like these waste bags disposed of. For dog walking we will properly dispose of pet waste, and we will provide waste bags for this, we may, however, need to sometimes bring the waste back to dispose of in your outside waste.

Collars/Leads/harness: provide secure collars and harness with appropriate tags for all visits. The tags must have the owners address and number. All dogs will be walked on leads unless highly trained, with excellent commands and exceptional recall.​

House Cleanliness: Bark In the Park MK will clean up after your pets to the best of their ability. Clients must inform BITP of the designated area for the appropriate cleaning supplies. Bark In the Park MK is not responsible for carpet/ flooring stains created by your pet(s). I request that you provide plastic bags, towels, cleaning products, paper towels and bin bags if caring in your home. BITP will not enter homes for pet visits where the owners house is hazardess, unsanitary, and the owners smoke indoors.
Bark In the Park MK does not accept any responsibility or liability for any client's animals that urinates, defecates or is sick in the owner's home. Bark In The Park MK does not accept any responsibility or liability for any animals that damage any household items and furniture, including garden furniture within the owners home. Bark In The Park MK does not accept any responsibility or liability for any animals that damage gardens, including digging holes, damaging plants and flowers within the owners home.

Changes to return date: Bark In The Park MK carefully schedules the time to serve you and other clients, therefore, there are no refunds or credits for early returns or last-minute changes to pet care and boarding. Clients must give 2 hours notice if they are intending on collecting their pet early. In the event that the client is delayed on return, they must inform Bark In The Park MK immediately, and they will use its best endeavor to make alternative arrangements for continued cover. It is the clients responsibility to allow for any possible delays or issues that may arise. It is not Bark In The Parks responsibility to continue cover outside of the agreed dates and times. If you are going abroad, you should give yourself a day either side to avoid delays. Late charges will apply or BITP will be unable to care for your pet in the future. Emergency contacts must be fully aware, they can be called at anytime to stand in. Owners must understand that early or late collections can unsettle other dogs in care and disturb routine.

Payment: Bark In The Park MK accepts cash only on bookings that are less than 2 day’s. Payment is due on the day of care and before the care starts. (Cancellation policy applies). Payment can be made by bank transfer for any bookings that are 2 + days. Payment due dates are given for booking’s over 2 day’s + Payment due dates are approx 1-2 weeks in advance, depending on date of care. There are no refunds for earlier collection. Late payment will result in the booking being cancelled. It is the owner's responsibility to pay by the due date. Where payment is not received in accordance with these terms and conditions, Bark in The Park reserves the right not to proceed with any arrangements/care and owners will not be allowed to use any services.
You understand that there is always a risk of injury to a dog, especially when other dogs are present. You agree not to hold Bark in The Park liable for any illness, injury or incident whilst in the care. You understand that there is always a risk of illness, injury or incident to a pet. You agree not to hold Bark in the park MK liable for any illness, injury or incident whilst in the care Bark in The Park MK and in between visits. BITP shall not be held responsible for injury or illness to your pet if you fail to remove hazards or dangers from your home. Bark In the park is not liable for any medical bills or vet fees unless deemed as having been negligent.
Bark In The Park must be notified of any concerns within 24 hours and no later after any appointment/booking that has been completed.
You agree that if your pet shows any behaviour that is dangerous Bark In The Park will contact you and your emergency contact. No refunds will be given.
Any items such as bedding, toy’s must be washed and cleaned before arrival, any items that arrive dirty will not be used.
Anal sacs-are scent glands located on both sides of your dogs rectum, they put your dogs scent in the stool. Some dogs don’t express their glands when they defecate, the material builds up in the sacs. This can cause a dog to scoot across a carpet or lick their bottom or itch. If very full it can also cause a very pungent, stinky smell, leak and brown material is left on carpets and furniture or even laps. Eventually the glands will rupture and see some bleeding. If your dog has this problem, you must make Bark In The Park aware. Owners must have their dog expressed before the stay. Bark In The Park will refuse care if the owners dog is showing signs they need their glands expressed on arrival. If the problem happens within the care, Bark In The Park will notify the owner on their return and ask that for any further stays, their dog must be checked for any full glands and expressed before any further stays. Unfortunately dogs that continue to arrive with their glands full and mark carpets, furniture and other items, will be unable to return for care.
For Boarding Bookings. You must contact your vet in advance and inform them that Bark In The Park MK will be caring for your dog in your absence and you authorise treatment on your behalf if you are not immediately contactable. If your vet is unreachable or to far in distance ( BITP do not travel out of MK) can not see your dog in an emergency and an alternative vet is visted, please authorise your vet to release your dogs medical record to them, particularly in the case of any longer term health issues or if a course of treatment has began. You must also do this for you emergency contact.
BITP must also address Euthanasia. If a vet has recommended Euthanasia on humane grounds for the owner's dog. We will contact you and share the recommendation and that you consent to the vet caring for your dog to euthanize on humane grounds to avoid pain and suffering.

Proof of vaccination in the form of your dog’s up to date vaccination certificate MUST be shown at a meet and greet and accompany your dog on any stay.
It is the clients responsibility to check your dog’s vaccinations are up to date prior to arrival.
If proof is not shown we will NOT accept your dog. All vaccines must be up to date and have been administered at least 14 days prior to arrival.

BITP requires a non-refundable and non-transferable booking fee for care exceeding five days.
​
Confirmations of bookings will only occur once the deposit has been received. All reserved dates will incur charges.
You are responsible for providing all food for the duration of your dog's stay.
We ask that you disclose any pre-existing health conditions, and we reserve the right to consult a veterinarian if deemed necessary.
The owner will be liable for any veterinary expenses, which will be added to the final invoice.
We maintain the right to decline boarding for any animal that appears to be unwell or in poor condition.
To ensure the well-being of all our guests, please refrain from bringing your dog if it exhibits any signs of digestive issues. You affirm that your dog has not suffered from any contagious illness or condition in the last 30 days and that it has received all required vaccinations.
We will take every precaution to ensure the welfare and safety of your dog; however, we accept no liability for issues beyond our control. Boarding is entirely at the owner's risk. Any damages caused by your dog will result in additional charges upon departure. To guarantee the comfort and safety of our well-behaved guests, we will not accept aggressive, destructive, or excessively boisterous dogs (please note that we do not board large dogs).
We also respect our neighbours and the environment, and will not board dogs that bark persistently.
Please ensure your dog is treated for worms and fleas/ticks prior to arrival. While we are willing to accommodate elderly dogs, we cannot be held accountable for any age-related issues.
If your dog is known to chew, please provide its own bedding.
Dogs sharing accommodations must do so with the owner's consent.
Any veterinary costs arising from disputes between dogs will be the owner's responsibility, not that of BITP.
Any dog not collected within seven days of the scheduled departure date, without prior communication from the owner, will be re-homed.
You confirm that your dog is non-aggressive and agree that should your dog's behavior become uncontrollable, appropriate measures will be taken.
